Faith Church of the Nazarene (Astana)
In September of 2000, this second Church of the Nazarene in Astana was established. Soon, the congregation grew and purchased a local house on a plot of land in the outskirts of Astana. The interior of the house was renovated to accommodate the worship services and other church programs housed there; however, the church was growing at such a rate that the interior of the house was soon too small. One Work & Witness team arrived and assisted with the beginning of the construction of a new building on the property. They laid a foundation for the new church, but no further work has been completed. Any Work & Witness teams willing and able to continue the work of building the Lord's House would be a great blessing to this church and to the community that surrounds it. The location of this project is in Astana, the capital city of Kazakhstan. Faith Church is located away from the center of the city, in a more residential region. This church community is very warm and welcoming and would love to fellowship with their brothers and sisters from other parts of the world!
